MAX MAISANO BIO

Maxwell began his hairdressing career over 20 years ago within the Toni & Guy USA salon network and quickly became known for his precision and quality, eventually earning the position of Top Technician.

From there he worked with several major hair color manufacturers such as It&ly Hair-fashion, Matrix/Logics and L’Oreal Professional, traveling the United States as a hair color artist and educator. He worked alongside industry luminaries like Nicholas French, Nancy Braun and Beth Minardi.

In 2005 he partnered with the Aveda Institutes Florida as an Education Development Specialist. He developed and implemented the educational curriculum for the prestigious Aveda Institute Master’s Studio program and worked as part of the Educational Team for the Aveda Advanced Academy in Florida.

In 2015 Maxwell decided to branch out on a different career path and create his own salon culture. He helped to establish The Disco Dolls Studio and then A+M Beauty Lounge, where he worked for a number of years behind the chair servicing a diverse clientele and helping to promote and build a salon brand and culture.

In 2016, with the rise of the Independent Education movement, Maxwell began educating with a small group of colleagues. The education was purely technical and non brand specific. He continues to share his passion for hairdressing with his industry peers.

Most recently, in March of 2019 Max relocated to Boston to work as Director of Education for KJ Hair Studio. He continues to educate independently across the United States.
